What you need
- macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
- An Apple silicon or Intel Mac.
- Nothing else. No account.
How the beta will install
The first beta is signed ad hoc and not notarized by Apple. macOS will block it the first time. This is expected.
Open the disk image
Drag the app into your Applications folder.
Try to open it
macOS says it cannot verify the app. Click Done.
Allow it
Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security. Scroll to Security and click Open Anyway next to the app's name.
Confirm
Enter your password or use Touch ID. The app opens from then on.
Check your download
Compare the file's SHA-256 checksum with the one published beside the download. The free SHA-256 checker does this in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Why will the first beta need "Open Anyway"?
The beta is signed ad hoc, not notarized by Apple. macOS blocks such apps until you allow them in System Settings. The launch version is planned to be notarized.
